In 2009, I took refuge in the Tibetan tradition with Lama Tsultrim Allione.

There was a large group of us taking refuge that day.  Once again, I'm in the front row, center.  Lama Tsultrim is seated in the back on the left, below the thangka (wall hanging.)

My friend Paula and me in front of the half-finished doors of the Tara Temple at Tara Mandala, Pagosa Springs, CO.  She and I met on a retreat there, discovered we were local to each other, and have been friends ever since.
